SGU Anatomy Term 1

  1. Get the McMinn's CD-ROM out and put it in your computer - do all the questions on that CD ROM. **1st priority (cuurently only working for PC. If you have Mac, get Windows installed on your mac, or find someone with a word file of the McMinn questions, theyre out there). Last resort, have someone type them out. :( Seriously, these are your best questions out there.
  2. Do Grey's Anatomy Question Book *** this is exactly like the test. You need to do lots of these questions in this book ==>
  3. Look on www.filestube.com for any pdf's for books you dont have or ask other students for a copy. Or buy it and have your own paperback.
  4. Do the Michigan quesitons - http://anatomy.med.umich.edu/courseinfo/mich_quiz_index.html
  5. Forget all the books except NETTER's STUDENT ATLAS. Know this thing back and front.
  6. Get Netter's Flash Card set, either card form or for Ipod/Iphone/Ipad. This gives you all the info from names, action, nerves innervating, attachment points, etc, not just a picture. It also quizzes you! Bring this to wet lab!
  7. Pre-read, and watch the Cadaver videos : http://www.lawrencegaltman.com/Naugbio/CADAVER/GALLERY.htm. IF YOU DO THIS BEFORE, you can FILL IN EXTRA INFO ON SLIDES DURING LECTURE. This is Immensely Helpful. Then, use your annotated lecture slides to study for the tests, and do the practice questions I mentioned. This will earn you an A if you do the work. Repetition, repetition, repetition. Draw things out several times. Learn it, Repeat it, Teach it to someone else. Don't miss out on the grade for an 8 credit course, the 2nd biggest course in your first 2 years.
There are also some very helpful study tools like diagrams for lymph, arteries, and veins. Ask around for these resources.

This is your 2nd Biggest Class in your first 2 years, try for the A.
You can do it, Goodluck!
