One thing a lot of students forget is that the unified quiz is 5% of your grade. I know you're new to this and you want to try to prove yourself, but honestly if you want the best grade, stick with going to lecture and studying the material as it comes.
Lots of people skip the 4 lectures on the friday before the Quiz to catch up for the Unifieds. Maybe think twice about this. Remember you are tested 2 questions per lecture on the midterm, and the midterm is worth.. 40%? If you do the math, then those 4 lectures were worth 8 questions on a midterm of... 100 or 150 questions. Either way, its 8% or 4% of your total grade. The lectures you neglected in order to study for the unifieds were worth as much, if not more, than the whole unified quiz!
Just remember that. People will freak out, but the quiz really is just for feedback for you to see if you are studying correctly, and if not, to allow you to make a change without penalizing you too badly.
