Quizlet Flashcards

Flashcards. We all do them, at least I think we do. What to use? I'm going to suggest actual cards.

Buttt if you want digital cards, there are a couple nice platforms.

1) Quizlet. This is a website containing flashcards that people have made, including SGU students... you can add pictures, sounds, even have them read the words to you. Its quite nice, and the best part? You can make them easily available to everyone else. Check these histology slides for example: http://quizlet.com/1884770/histology-slides-pictures-flash-cards/
  • Best part: you can search for SGU on the site, and it will show all the publically available flashcard sets that people have made. If they were nice, they labeled them neatly by term, class, and for which test.

2) gFlashPro. again, me with the iphone/ipad apps. If you got it, you want to get this application. Here's how it works. You make an excel file with two columns, questions and answers. Next, upload excel file to Google Docs. Open up gFlash, and it will ask you which files to download into flashcards. Wallah! MCQ.
  • it will mix up a bunch of answers to create MCQ for you
  • it will keep track of what you got right and wrong and re-test you until you get it right
  • its super simple to use
  • you can download it for free, you need to jailbreak your device
If you need help jailbreaking, again, there are several of us that can help you with that, just ask around.

  1. Hey Doc Mugz, do you generally recommend jailbreaking the Ipad 2 for medschool?

Thanks for all the useful info!

  2. yes, but you temporarily void your warranty. however, there's a way to un-jailbreak. Redmond pie has really good up to date directions.
